Chelsea and Matt

This has been the season of engagment sessions. I met with Chelsea and Matt downtown and basically kidnapped them and took them on a tour of locations. They were great and went along with everything that Paul Shepherd (one of my favorite partners) and I asked of them. We did get ice cream as a treat between venues. These images are just a few of the many great shots we got of the evening.

Natalie and Nick in St. Louis

This is the famous arch of St. Louis. This was our last stop of the day and met with the challenge of finding parking since the St. Louis Cardinals had a game that evening. But we persevered and got some great shots. Talk about having to use a wide angle lens...the arch is enormous.

This structure is called the Jewel Box and was built for the World's Fair at the turn of the 20th century. It is an amazing arboretum and grounds.

The structure below is the art museum.

After their wedding in June Natalie and Nick will be living in St. Louis so it seemed appropriate (and a lot of fun) to shoot their engagement session there. They picked some of the major architectural attractions for their venues. Of course this was thrilling and challenging for me since I wasn't familiar with what they had to offer.

Mary Beth and Will

I feel blessed to be able to work with such great couples. Mary Beth and Will were so fun out on their engagement session. You can tell that they are delighted to be together and it shows in their images. Their wedding is coming up soon, May 31...enjoy every moment.

Derek and Courtney

I have been so fortunate to have great weather for my weddings and engagement sessions this spring. The evening I spent with Derek and Courtney was glorious; both the company and the weather. They are such a cute couple. I have known Derek for many years and it has been a pleasure getting to know Courtney. They make it so easy to get great images and I can't wait for their wedding in June.

Melanie and Adam

Congratulations to Melanie and Adam. It was wonderful to be a part of such a special day. Fortunately, the rain stopped and left us with sunshine. The day was highlighted for me... I was driving home just at the time that Thunder over Louisville was just beginning. What a way to end a great day.

Adrienne and Jared

We had the perfect day for a spring engagment session. It is my favorite time of year and when you add in the fact that I am fortunate enough to get to work with amazing couples; what can I say, it couldn't get any better. Adrienne and Jared are planning there wedding for July and I can't wait to work with them again. As you can see....what a cute couple!

Quiceanera in Miami

I am truly blessed because I get to travel quite alot. I always enjoy seeing new places and of course taking my camera is a given. When my husband and I were in Miami we were visiting Vizcaya, a historic mansion and happened upon a Quinceanera shoot. The young lady celebrating her 15th birthday debut didn't mind at all that I wanted some pictures of her and her little sister.

Kentucky Professional Photographers Association

I had an amazing 6 days at the KPPA convention up in the Cincinnati area. I took two master classes, one in editing techniques and album design and one in location lighting. The picture is of a master photographer, David Ziser, showing us his in church lighting techniques. There were many, many other classes and seminars that were both motivating and informational. I love learning, getting new ideas and continuing to grow as a photographer.

Favorites

2007 was an amazing year. It had its challenges but it had its incredible blessings, joys, and answers to prayers. I really do like the beginning of a new year. I thought that every few days I would post a few images from my favorite weddings or some of the places I got to see. Today it will be a couple of my favorite wedding pics.
